Description

A selection of fresh bags of gourmet and medicinal mushroom grain spawn made with pressure sterilised Irish Oats.

Grain spawn is the first step to growing mushrooms. You can add grain spawn to substrate or use it to make more spawn.

We make our spawn by first soaking Oats to hydrate them for 24hrs. We boil and simmer the oats for 20-25 mins. After we pressure sterilise them at 15 PSI for 2.5 hours.

Our grain spawn is ready to be used for grain to grain transfers, transferring to mushroom substrate, planting in the garden in a woodchip bed or conifer forests to grow your own mushrooms.

Heat sealed in a small spawn bag to ensure fresh air and gas exchange through the filter patch, keeping the mycelium healthy.

Custom orders taken for larger amounts. larger orders will take 2-3 weeks to colonise before being shipped to you. Please send us a message with any enquiries you may have.

We make fresh batches of mushroom grain spawn every 3 weeks, to ensure it will always be fresh.

Store your grain spawn for up to a month in the fridge if you don’t plan to use it right away.
