All of our liquid cultures are prepared fresh for every order in our lab and we use a flow hood when carrying out all work to ensure clean cultures & packages.

WHAT IS LIQUID CULTURE?

Liquid culture is a a nutrient rich mix, made up of distilled water and we mix with light malt extract, dextrose and honey. creating a mix for the mycelium to feed on.

You can think of mycelium as the mushrooms roots. Mycelium can then be used to inoculate our grow kits, or substrate mix to start growing mushrooms.

We regularly test all of our liquid cultures on agar and grain to guarantee you only get the highest quality culture.

HOW DO I USE LIQUID CULTURE?

10 Mushroom Liquid Cultures can be used in many ways.

The most common use is injecting into our mushroom grow kits

You can use liquid culture to create grain spawn, which is kind of like a mushroom seed.

Grain spawn is then moved into a mushroom growing substrate.

Liquid culture can also be used to inoculate agar plates for long term storage of culture.

HOW DO I GROW MUSHROOMS?

Different mushrooms require different care and conditions to grow. With the right conditions you can grow your own mushroom easily. We offer a wide variety of easy to use grow kits and mushroom growing substrates to suit many different types of mushrooms. We’ve done all the hard work to save you the time and energy. By growing mushrooms in our grow bags you have more control over the environment, throughout the whole growing cycle than if you were to grow outside. speeding up the growing process

STORAGE:

We recommend using your liquid culture as soon as possible. To ensure maximum freshness and healthy growth. If you cannot use it right away, we advise storing your culture in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
